Guide to using the Single Plan Assessment (SPA)

This guide will help you navigate the Single Plan Assessment functionality.

Single Plan Assessment (SPA) enables you to add and assess plan rules and provisions. The tutorial below covers:

  • Navigating rules and provisions
  • Making comments
  • Assessing rules
  • Viewing references to other provisions
  • Understanding plan notes

00:03: Today I'll be giving you a quick tour of single plane assessment SBA

00:08: for short SBA brings all the plan provisions and

00:12: rules. You need onto one page on the screen.

00:15: You can see an example of a typical document structure using the all-in-one

00:20: view.

00:22: In this example, we're going to look at some of objectives.

00:26: Click on the heading to expand and read what sits beneath it.

00:35: Notice the small drop down arrows these indicate where more content

00:39: is available.

00:42: Where something is relevant you simply click the box to include it in your

00:46: assessment, I'll add this objective now.

00:52: You can repeat the same steps to include further objectives in

00:56: your assessment.

00:58: Begin typing within a text field to leave a comment.

01:02: Comments can be used to add notes or feedback related to your

01:06: assessments.

01:08: You can repeat the steps above to include further provisions

01:12: the same pattern applies to policies assessment criteria matters

01:16: or information requirements. You can simply expand review and

01:21: click to include as needed.

01:25: You can also select an entire group at the heading level that's

01:29: if everything under that heading is relevant.

01:33: Now let's assess a rule section.

01:38: Activity statuses display on the right of the screen

01:43: You can simply click on the activity status to include it in

01:47: your assessment.

01:49: SBA shows any linked rules that an Sid beneath the

01:53: activity so you can assess them in context?

01:57: For each role a single click marks complies

02:03: A second click Marks non-compliance and a third

02:07: click will clear the assessment.

02:11: You can also right click the same area to bring up a list of

02:15: additional options.

02:18: Like in the provisions assessment you can leave comments you

02:22: can leave comments at both the activity level and the individual role

02:26: level to capture reasoning or notes.

02:31: In Rico we reflect notes that are in a plan notes

02:36: are identified by the striped background and are for your information only.

02:42: When you say blue cheeks it indicates that there is a reference.

02:46: Here is an example of a reference sitting within a note.

02:51: Within Rico when you see blue text that indicates a

02:55: plan reference here is an example of a reference setting within a

02:59: note if you click on the blue text a pop- out will appear with

03:03: the option to jump directly to the linked requirements, and

03:08: that is where you can make your assessment.

03:11: The second example shows how reference texts can be built directly

03:15: into your assessment without the need to switch to another plan section if

03:20: I scroll down to the matter section you can find that the matters are now

03:24: highlighted and included in the assessment.

03:28: To recap SBA lets you navigate through
